1. FAVOURITE CURRENT PLAYER &
WHY?
S.N. Steve Conner. Always very
reliable at the back, never makes many mistakes. And pops up to score some
vital goals as well.
2. FAVOURITE PLAYER OF ALL TIME?
S.N. Paul Cavell. He was so quick
and skilful, good at holding the ball and of course a brilliant goal
scorer, also a good passer. When he was playing for us I thought he was
the best forward in Non League Football at the time.
3. BEST TEAM PERFORMANCE?
S.N. v Gloucester City,
Trophy Semi-Final Replay in 1997. Everyone just stuck together and kept
battling until the final whistle. Plus beating Woking 8-1 in April 1994
was a bit special to.
4. WORST TEAM PERFORMANCE?
S.N. v Chesham United, F.A.Cup 2nd
Qualify Rd Sep 1994, we lost 0-2 and Tony Sorrell got sent off.
5. BEST GOAL 1997/98 SEASON?
S.N. Danny Shipp's brilliant volley
v Southend United in the Essex Senior Cup Semi-Final in March 1998.
6. BEST GOAL OF ALL TIME?
S.N. v Northwich Victoria
(Conference) October 1992. Paul Cavell. It started from our own goal where
McKenna threw the ball out to someone, there was about 10 passes put
together before the ball was crossed possibly by Gary Blackford or Gary
Kimble and finished off by Paul Cavell. We won 4-1 that day, and we played
brilliant could have been 10-0 at half time.
7. MOST MEMORABLE MOMENT?
S.N. Watching us at Wembley in the
F.A.Trophy Final. I had to pinch myself that day a few times. Me my family
and friends enjoyed a great day out. And Pele being there too was
brilliant.
8. MOST UNFORGETTABLE MOMENT?
S.N. The Final whistle in the Trophy
Semi-Final Replay v Gloucester City. Just a feeling that your team is
going to Wembley and being shown on Sky TV.
9. BEST COMMENT HEARD FROM THE
TERRACES?
S.N. Well it's not a comment but
it's something from the terraces. At half time once at Hendon about 8
years ago one of my mates jumped on the pitch at half-time and danced to a
Jason Donavan record played on the PA system.
10. WHAT WOULD YOU DO TO THE
CLUB TO IMPROVE IT?
S.N. Have more merchandising in the
club.
11. DO YOU FOLLOW A FOOTBALL
LEAGUE CLUB IF SO WHO?
S.N. West Ham & Celtic, my dad
used to take me to West Ham in the Trevor Brooking days.
12. WHAT OTHER QUESTION WOULD
YOU LIKE TO SEE ON THIS QUESTIONAIRE?
S.N. The question would be. If you
won the lottery say over 5 Million pounds and you love football and
supported Dagenham & Redbridge. Would you buy the club and own it? I
WOULD
13. WHY DO YOU SUPPORT A
NON-LEAGUE CLUB LIKE DAGENHAM & REDBRIDGE F.C
S.N. Because it's my local team,
also I enjoy the small club atmosphere. Nice clubhouse to have a drink in,
I know quite a lot of supporters here. It's a good friendly place to watch
a game of football. Travelling is great, having a laugh having a chat with
other supporters. Plus it's cheaper than the Football League &
Premiership. Also it's nice to travel to so many different ground around
the country.
14. FAVOURITE MATCH BEEN TO?
S.N. Must be England v Holland at
Wembley in EURO 96 when we won 4-1.
15. FAVOURITE NON & FOOTBALL
LEAGUE GROUND VISITED EXCLUDING WEMBLEY?
S.N. Yeovil Town &
Celtic, I know Twickenham isn't a football stadium, but it's unbelievable
